Job description

Shift: Per Diem, 8 Hr - Day Shift

Landmark Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem PACU Registered Nurse to provide safe, high-quality post-anesthesia care for surgical patients. The PACU RN reports directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. This role requires at least 1 year of consistent Critical Care or PACU experience, with preference given to candidates with additional experience.


  • Provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate post-operative care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe recovery.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic status and diagnostic results, to the appropriate provider.
  • Guide and support other team members, maintaining professional nursing standards and compliance with hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support efficient patient flow and maintain a safe, organized unit.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and ongoing education.
  • Serve as a clinical resource to peers and new staff.

These are all Requirements of this role:

  1. Current and valid State RN License.
  2. Current BLS (AHA) certification.
  3. ACLS (AHA) certification.
  4. PALS (AHA) certification.
  5. Minimum of 1 year consistent Critical Care or PACU experience
  6. CCRN (Critical Care RN) preferred.
  7. BSN preferred.
