Job description

Brown University Health is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologists to join our expanding Gastroenterology Division at a new outpatient office in Lincoln, Rhode Island, conveniently located just minutes from the Massachusetts border and downtown Providence.
As part of Rhode Island's largest and most comprehensive academic healthcare system, you will join a nationally recognized organization committed to exceptional patient care, medical education, and research innovation. Our Gastroenterology Division, which is comprised of 17 gastroenterologists, delivers comprehensive care across the full spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases and is recognized as a regional leader in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, gastrointestinal malignancies, advanced endoscopy, and other complex GI disorders.
Physicians practice in a collaborative, academically focused environment with access to state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient endoscopy facilities equipped with the latest technology to support high procedural volumes and advanced therapeutic interventions.
Position Highlights:
  • Join a collegial and highly respected team of 17 gastroenterologists and 5 advanced practice providers.
  • Perform more than 800 endoscopic procedures annually
  • Outpatient clinic located in Lincoln, RI, with endoscopic procedures performed in Attleboro, MA
  • Anticipated shared call schedule averaging 1:7 weekends, supported by GI fellows who provide first-call coverage
  • Balanced schedule consisting of approximately:
    • 3 days of endoscopy
    • 1.5 days of outpatient clinic
    • 0.5 day of protected administrative time
  • Supported by specialized GI nurses, clinical pharmacists, and dedicated ancillary staff
  • Individualized practice support designed to maximize physician efficiency and patient access
  • Academic appointment through Brown University, with access to teaching and clinical research opportunities
