Job Summary Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Recreation Programs Manager position. Under the general direction of the Recreation Center Manager, provides oversight for Ashburn Recreation & Community Center programming to include camps, clinics, licensed preschool/childcare, special events, and fitness; interviews and hires staff for the facility; oversees licensed and non-licensed programs; and oversees maintenance of facilities.

We are currently hiring for the following location(s): Ashburn Recreation & Community Center, Ashburn, VA Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Controls the budget and expenses related to the program or function. Manages and monitors program expenditures; identifies possible problems or issues; and ensures that year-end expenditures do not go beyond the budget. Meets revenue projections.

Oversees Recreation Center staffing. Develops and implements approved staffing plan for functional areas of the Recreation Center; interviews and recommends hiring new staff, as needed; and maintains staff records, documentation, and reports for associated programs. Provides support to the Center Advisory Board.

Facilitates Advisory Board meetings and related activities; supports the Board President in recruiting members who reflect the community's recreational interests; consistently participates in community meetings to assist. Oversees the programs, activities, and events at the Recreation Center, as well as administering childcare programs. Manages customer service and administrative support for front desk operations; guarantees compliance with the Center's policies and procedures; and oversees staffing schedules.

Initiates repair requests and ensures issues are resolved. Completes purchases in accordance with policies and procedures. Designs, develops and implements community education & outreach initiatives.

Additional critical job responsibilities may be carried out as required by the specific role and departmental assignment. This position supervises staff and volunteers. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree; three (3) years of related work experience in recreation programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: Master's degree in related field Experience maintaining licensure for youth programs and experience with adaptive recreation programs. Job Contingencies and Special Requirements Must undergo pre-employment fingerprinting, credit, Child Protective Services (CPS), and DMV background checks. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.

Annual reviews of driving records may be conducted to ensure ongoing qualification. Pass TB test within 30 days of hire and each year thereafter. Annually, it is required to file a sworn disclosure statement or affirmation that details any criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.
