Position Summary

The Photography & Property Inspector is responsible for photographing vacation rental properties, performing quality inspections, identifying maintenance issues, and ensuring every home meets Big Fish Rentals' high standards before guests arrive.

This role combines photography, quality control, and property inspections, making it ideal for someone with an eye for detail who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

Property Photography

• Photograph new vacation rental properties.
• Capture updated photos after renovations or décor changes.
• Take seasonal and marketing photographs.
• Edit and organize images for the marketing team.
• Ensure every property has a complete, high-quality photo gallery.

Property Inspections

• Perform scheduled inspections of vacation rental properties.
• Verify cleanliness and housekeeping quality.
• Inspect furniture, appliances, décor, and amenities.
• Ensure guest-ready presentation before arrivals.
• Document any damages, missing items, or safety concerns.
• Submit detailed inspection reports via the company's software.

Maintenance Reporting

• Identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Photograph issues requiring attention.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff when necessary.
• Follow up to ensure issues are resolved.

Inventory & Quality Control

• Verify inventory of kitchen items, linens, and supplies.
• Ensure owner standards are maintained.
• Check smoke detectors, locks, HVAC, televisions, Wi-Fi equipment, and appliances.
• Confirm all guest amenities are stocked and functioning.

General Responsibilities

• Drive between properties throughout the Myrtle Beach area.
• Maintain accurate records using mobile inspection software.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, cleaners, and office staff.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and mobile apps.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to walk stairs and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Weekend availability as needed.

Preferred

• Photography experience.
• Experience in vacation rentals, hotels, hospitality, or property management.
• Basic knowledge of home maintenance.
• Experience using DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
• Photo editing experience (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar).

Schedule
