As an outdoor photographer, you capture images of the environment or outdoor events for commercial purposes. You may specialize in a particular area such as wildlife, landscape photography, or event photography. You work with a variety of equipment such as drones, digital cameras, and imaging software. Most outdoor photographers are self-employed, with duties that extend far beyond taking a photo; your responsibilities include preparing and editing images, marketing your services, and completing administrative tasks such as bookkeeping.
