IT Link Now is a leading Managed Service Provider seeking a skilled and motivated Field Network Technician to join our dynamic technical team. We are committed to delivering exceptional solutions and maintaining cutting-edge connectivity for our clients.

Job Summary

The Field Network Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing network infrastructure and telecommunications equipment at various client sites. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation of network hardware, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and cabling systems
  • Perform on-site installation of servers, computers, and various peripherals
  • Wire Management, and site visits
  • Conduct comprehensive network assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity issues
  • Install and configure network equipment according to client specifications and industry standards
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Perform regular network performance testing and optimization
  • Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely technical support
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop and implement network solutions
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations during field operations
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients during and after installation processes

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Network Administration, Information Technology, or Experience
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network installation and maintenance
  • CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification preferred
  • Proficient in TCP/IP networking principles
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure components
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Ubiquiti, and other networking equipment
  • Familiarity with fiber optic and copper cabling installation techniques

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Work Environment

  • Frequent travel to client sites within Miami Dade and Broward
  • M-F 8:30 - 5:30 PM Work Schedule
  • Rare weekend work may be required
  • Rotative On-Call schedule for After-Hours and Weekends first response
