About the role: We are seeking Shipping Associates to assist in all warehouse and shipping activities within the Manufacturing Operations department of iS Clinical. The role will be on-site at our Mesa, AZ facility.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Safety Procedures.
  • Assists the Shipping and Packing departments with daily outbound order fulfillment.
  • Verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments.
  • Compiles shipping documents, packing lists, and order paperwork.
  • Coordinates outbound shipments with carriers and freight partners.
  • Prioritizes tasks to ensure timely shipment of orders.
  • Uses UPS WorldShip and other carrier systems to generate shipping labels and track outbound packages.
  • Picks, packs, and prepares orders for shipment according to work orders and customer requirements.
  • Stages and labels outgoing shipments according to carrier and customer requirements.
  • Assists in pallet strapping and wrapping for international and domestic shipments.
  • Assists in pouching/packing domesting and international shipments.
  • Assists in box making.
  • Loads trucks using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts as needed.
  • Prepares shipping labels, bills of lading, and customs or export documentation as required.
  • Verifies outgoing order accuracy, including quantities, product codes, and lot numbers, prior to dispatch.
  • Communicates shipment status, delays, or carrier issues to the Supervisor and affected departments.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe shipping dock area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Prior experience in a shipping, logistics, or distribution role.
  • Strong computer skills with experience verifying and maintaining records of outgoing shipments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively across different teams and departments.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shipping and warehouse areas for the entire scheduled shift (typically 8-12 hours), with only standard meal and rest breaks; this is an essential function of the role.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry packages and materials weighing up to 50 lbs, and to move loads up to 450 lbs using material handling equipment such as a pallet jack or hand truck.
  • Ability to push and pull loaded pallet jacks and carts weighing up to 450 lbs.
  • Ability to climb onto and off of truck beds, trailers, and loading dock platforms safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach (including overhead reaching), and twist to pack, load, and stage outbound shipments.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate computer systems (including UPS WorldShip), handheld scanners, and packing and shipping equipment.
  • Near vision sufficient to read shipping labels, packing slips, and computer or scanner screens accurately.
  • Hearing sufficient to detect backup alarms and communicate with warehouse and dock staff in an active facility.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to varying dock and warehouse temperatures, including outdoor or weather conditions at open dock doors, and equipment noise.
  • Ability to wear required PPE for the full shift, including safety glasses as needed and steel-toed footwear.
  • Compliance with all GMP, SOP, and plant safety/OSHA requirements.
