POSITION OVERVIEW - The position is a hybrid position in Minneapolis, MN with 1-2 days in office per week. No relocation provided, must currently reside in the USA.

The Lead Generation Specialist (Marketing Specialist) plays a key role helping fuel our sales pipeline by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers. This role combines communication, research, marketing, and sales expertise to generate high-quality leads and connect with decision-makers.

You’ll conduct targeted outreach, represent the company at industry events, and collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to convert interest into opportunity. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated to contribute to the company’s business development goals through consistent, strategic lead generation efforts.

Strategic Lead Prospecting & Qualification

  • Identify and engage potential customers through strategic outreach via phone, email, and digital channels.
  • Responsible for content creation and management, including developing social media posts and lead generation materials.
  • Conduct research to uncover new business opportunities and qualified prospects.
  • Qualify leads based on established sales criteria and route high-quality opportunities to the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records within CRM systems.
  • Support development of targeted lead generation campaigns with the marketing team.

Trade Show & Event Support

  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage trade shows, virtual events, conferences, and industry events to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Main point of contact for some events.
  • Engage with event attendees to showcase EAC’s products and services.
  • Assist in implementing lead capture and tracking processes.
  • Support post-event follow-up and lead nurturing activities.

Collaboration & Sales Enablement

  • Work closely with Sales Leadership to ensure effective lead qualification and handoff.
  • Collaborate with other members of marketing team to align messaging and campaign strategies.
  • Contribute to the creation of outreach messaging, templates, and scripts.
  • Participate in internal meetings to share insights on lead activity and trends.

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide input to improve lead generation workflows and outreach strategies.
  • Track performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.
  • Participate in training to enhance knowledge of EAC products, services, and target markets.
  • Assist in documenting marketing and lead management processes as needed.

Follow-Up & Relationship Building

  • Manage lead pipelines generated from multiple sources, including marketing campaigns and events.
  • Conduct timely and consistent follow-ups to nurture potential opportunities.
  • Gather and share market and prospect insights to support the customer engagement strategy.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Prepare, propose, and obtain approval for all marketing plans with the direct supervisor, and manage execution by tracking progress, ensuring timely delivery, and reporting success metrics.
  • Support outbound lead generation initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Assist in targeted prospecting for marketing campaigns and audience segmentation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

Experience & Education

  • 2–4 years of experience in lead generation, marketing, business development or inside sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting company presence at trade shows or industry events preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for events and in-person engagements.

Sales & Communication Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and engage with decision-makers at multiple levels.
  • Understanding of sales processes and qualification frameworks.
  • Skilled in crafting compelling outreach messages and conducting discovery conversations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Confident and professional phone presence with active listening skills.
  • Comfortable handling objections and guiding conversations toward qualified opportunities.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite, HubSpot) and lead-tracking tools.
  • Must have experience using digital creation tools including Canva and Adobe products.
  • Experience with marketing automation or email campaign platforms preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to identify trends and improve performance.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other prospecting tools a plus.

Additional Information

COMPENSATION

  • Base Annual Salary is $60 K for this salaried, exempt Full-Time hybrid position
