Job description

Join a well-established low voltage company with over 20 years of industry experience, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions across commercial, industrial, and healthcare sectors. As a Low Voltage Cable Technician, you will be integral to installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced low voltage systems. Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and test structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) in commercial, healthcare, and industrial facilities
  • Perform fiber optic cable pulling, splicing, OTDR and Fluke testing, and document results accurately
  • Install and commission IP camera systems (Axis, Hanwha, Avigilon) and access control hardware (Lenel, Genetec, HID readers)
  • Build out MDF/IDF rooms with proper cable management, labeling, patch panels, and rack assemblies
  • Operate hand tools, fish tape, punch-down tools, and termination equipment safely and proficiently
  • Read and execute construction drawings and as-builts to ensure accurate installations
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and clients on active job sites, representing the company professionally
  • Work effectively in both team-based and independent settings, maintaining professionalism especially in occupied environments like hospitals and hotels

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in low voltage installation, including structured cabling, fiber, or security systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with structured cabling and fiber optics
  • Familiarity with IP camera and access control systems
  • Proficiency with testing equipment such as OTDR and Fluke
