The Rehab Aide is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization's mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
The Rehab Aide is responsible for assisting the OT/PT in patient treatment as directed by the therapist to assist in overall departmental operations by performing clerical and housekeeping as assigned by the supervisor. At no time will the Rehab Aide's assistance of the OT/PT in treatment be counted as billable skilled therapy. The aide will demonstrate dependability in all areas and will perform duties as assigned by the OT/COTA and/or PT/PTA. Rehab Aide will also be responsible for assisting the licensed therapist supervising patients in group settings.
Qualifications
  • Good general health and emotional stability.
  • Ability to bend, lift or assist with transfers and ambulation.
  • Adequate physical strength to assist with resistive activities.
  • On the job training in use of equipment and in departmental methods and procedures.
  • Dependable, conscientious and sincere interest.
  • Ability to relate well to others and work with patients of all ages.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred at selected sites.
