Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Encompass Rehabilitation Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized physical therapy plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function.
  • Monitoring and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the effective execution of treatment plans.
  • Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities through advanced diagnostic assessments, identifying areas for improvement, and developing tailored intervention strategies.
  • Providing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities (including traction and massage) to clients both in the clinic and in their homes as required by physician recommendations.
  • Fitting, adjusting, and recommending prosthetic and orthotic devices in collaboration with the healthcare team to maximize patient independence.
  • Documenting clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Actively participating in case conferences and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes.
  • Educating clients and their families about their therapy plans and the use of assistive devices to promote adherence to the program.
