Job Summary and Qualifications
Radiology Student Intern
Flexible availability is necessary for this PRN/per diem opportunity.
The Radiology Student Intern has an exciting opportunity to integrate their educational experience in the clinical setting. The Radiology Student Intern will be directly supervised in performing exams until he/she has successfully achieved competency in each specific exam. When competency is obtained, the Radiology Student Intern may work under indirect supervision.
The Radiology Student Intern consistently demonstrates the quality performance of diagnostic imaging procedures. This is inclusive of room preparation, equipment operation, and physician assistance during imaging procedures, image development and image manipulation. Secondary duties include patient transportation, clerical/receptionist duties, stocking supplies, procedure room cleanliness, and participating in quality improvement activities.
Qualifications

  • Successfully enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program and competent to perform numerous radiology exams
  • Must be within 1 year of graduation (within 1 year of obtaining ARRT certification)
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
