  • Permanent position only

  • Scheduled clinic hours plus call
  • Low call burden
  • Beeper call
License Requirements
  • Active Louisiana Medical License (or eligible to obtain)
Required Certifications & Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery - Required
  • Fellowship Trained in Hand Surgery - Required
Practice Setting
  • High-volume Orthopedic Hand Surgery practice
  • Assigned inpatient rounding responsibilities
  • Admissions required
  • EMR: Epic
  • Level II Trauma Center
Practice Highlights
  • Established and growing referral network
  • Immediate block time available
  • Opportunity to teach and work with residents
  • Multiple Advanced Practice Providers for clinic and surgical support
  • State-of-the-art technology, including an operating microscope for hand procedures
  • Dedicated orthopedic hospital with:
    • 6 operating rooms with expansion capacity
    • 2-3 dedicated orthopedic ORs daily
    • On-site inpatient rehabilitation
  • Main hospital with 12 oversized operating rooms
  • Additional scrub tech support available (2-3 per case as needed)
  • Balanced schedule with approximately 2-3 OR days per week

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery - Required

  • Available to start January 1, 2027, or as agreed upon during the hiring process
