Orthopaedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant(NP) Supervisor
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $235000.00 - $260000.00

Step into a highly valued, well-supported leadership role that blends operational oversight with hands-on orthopaedic clinical care. The University of California San Diego seeks an Orthopaedic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider Supervisor (Orthopaedic NP or PA) to lead daily operations for a 22-member APP team and help drive workflow and quality improvements across sites. Opportunity Highlights

  • Lead a stable, growing APP team within a stable Orthopaedic Surgery department
  • Drive operational and patient care improvements through close collaboration.
  • Oversee daily operations for NPs and PAs in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Split role approximately 50% administrative and 50% clinical, flexing as needed
  • Supervise a current team of 22 APPs across multiple deployment areas and sites
  • Optimize clinic workflows, scheduling, templates, and staff coverage across multiple sites
  • Lead onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and professional development
  • Partner with senior management and physicians to build APP best-practice models
  • Use HR and labor contract experience to manage change and complex priorities
  • Follow an outpatient clinic structure: 4 half-day sessions with 20-minute appointments
  • Practice with no OR responsibility
