OverviewThis position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of oilfield cement equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on heavy equipment and light duty vehicles.
  • Follows the Shop Foreman’s equipment maintenance schedule.
  • Assess training requirements as well as training programs.
  • Recommends and evaluates procedure, policies, and standards for fleet maintenance.
  • Trains staff in various areas of fleet operations, maintenance, and repair.
  • Prepare equipment for DOT BIT inspections.
  • Ensures all shop work is documented.
  • Must keep work areas clean.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to travel, including internationally.

Other Responsibilities
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • The ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the areas of assignment as would be acquired in three to four years of high school.
  • Must have 5 years’ experience managing a truck maintenance shop.
  • Must have good employee management skills.
  • Must have 5 years’ experience maintaining Oilfield Cementing Equipment.
  • Must have experience trouble shooting 12/24-volt electric systems.
  • Must have experience with various hydraulic systems.
  • Must have 5 years’ experience working with heavy DOT vehicles, light duty vehicles.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
  • Must have 2 years’ experience with, Perkins, Detroit 60 series and Cat Diesel Engines, Tier 3&4.
  • Must provide own tools for the job.
  • Welding experience preferred.
  • Experience with compressors and compressed gasses is preferred.
  • Experience with pneumatic bulk equipment is preferred.
  • Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of diesel electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak English at a level that will permit the employee to understand and communicate information in a manner that will enable the employee to perform the job duties safely and efficiently.
  • Must possess at any time a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to ORMAT’s auto insurance carrier.

Physical Requirements
  • The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, work off of elevated platforms, in severe weather conditions and in confined spaces.
  • Job requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time with moderate bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including safety shoes and earplugs.
