Central Saskatchewan Co-op is currently recruiting a Full-Time Bakery Manager at our Humboldt Food Store.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the team in a manner that demonstrates day-to-day behaviors that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and brand. 
  • Manage the Department in accordance with the company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards and overall expectations.
  • Recruit, train, develop, coach and motivate the team while fostering a positive work environment that enables the engagement of all team members in the pursuit of desired results. 
  • Ensures that all products are fresh and meet company quality standards.
  • Perform team performance reviews and action plans for development.
  • Manage inventory levels and lead scheduled inventory procedures.
  • Provide feedback to the Food Manager regarding recommendations for continued improvement of operations. 
  • Develop sales promotion programs to grow the business.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding pricing, financial and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and administer action plans to achieve the desired results of the business plan.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of operational and financial results including, sales, margins, expense, inventory and SPEH for your department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years retail experience.
  • Must have a minimum 2-3 years experience managing/supervising others.
  • Previous retail management, and/or bakery experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.
  • Effective interpersonal, leadership and communications skills.
  • Motivation and ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Effective planning, organization and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain relationships outside of the organization that support the organization
