Organization Development Specialist

Human Resources | Entry Level

Department: Human ResourcesReports To: Manager, Organization DevelopmentClassification: Full-Time, ExemptFLSA Status: ExemptPOSITION SUMMARY

The Talent Development Specialist supports the growth, readiness, and engagement of employees across the organization. This entry-level role is responsible for coordinating onboarding touchpoints, administering learning and certification programs, facilitating in-person training, and maintaining the tools and systems that support workforce development.

The ideal candidate is organized, people-oriented, and passionate about building a culture of continuous learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOnboarding & Employee Integration
  • Conduct structured 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-in meetings with new hires to assess onboarding progress, identify support needs, and promote early engagement.
  • Partner with managers to ensure new employees receive a consistent and positive onboarding experience.
Training Administration & Delivery
  • Assign required training curricula based on employee role, department, and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate in-person training sessions and shop floor orientations for new and existing employees.
  • Co-produce live and hybrid learning events, including logistics coordination, platform setup, and on-site support.
Certifications & Compliance Tracking
  • Maintain accurate records of employee certifications, licenses, and required credentials.
  • Monitor expiration dates and proactively coordinate renewals with employees and managers.
  • Ensure training completion records comply with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Content & Resource Management
  • Maintain and update SharePoint sites, including training libraries, HR resources, and the events calendar.
  • Ensure content is current, organized, and accessible to all employees.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in HR, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Experience with HRIS or LMS platforms is a plus (e.g., Paycor, Workday, Cornerstone).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or similar intranet/content management platforms preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable facilitating in front of groups.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential employee information.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates predominantly in an office environment. Occasional exposure to manufacturing environments may occur. The role requires the ability to stand, walk, and communicate in a variety of settings. Some travel to field locations or project sites may be required.
