Job description

SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we're simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.
SeatGeek is looking for an Organic Social Media Strategist to own and reimagine our organic social presence from the ground up - across platforms, across moments, and across the culture that makes live entertainment worth showing up for. From hosting an Instagram live at an event to responding to fans on Reddit to developing a TikTok content series for the start of the NFL season, this person will own end-to-end strategy and execution across platforms.
The Organic Social Media Strategist will report to the Director of Organic Growth and work cross-functionally with content, creative, PR, fan support, and beyond. The ideal candidate brings deep fluency in social media marketing, a genuine love for sports and live entertainment, and a strong instinct for tying great content to real business impact.
What you'll do
  • Own and manage SeatGeek's organic social channels end-to-end - including strategy, content creation, scheduling, and publishing across Instagram, TikTok, X, and any emerging platforms worth owning
  • Develop and execute a cohesive organic social strategy aligned with brand and business goals - defining channel-specific approaches, content pillars, posting cadence, and audience growth tactics that compound over time
  • Ideate and produce culturally relevant, platform-native content that taps into live events, sports, concerts, and entertainment moments - turning what's happening in culture into content that drives engagement, shares, and brand love
  • Stay ahead of trends, conversations, and activity in real time - identifying opportunities for timely reactive content, cultural hijacks, and community engagement that keep SeatGeek part of the conversation
  • Shoot, edit, and produce short-form video content using self-shot footage, UGC, or provided assets - with a strong eye for storytelling, pacing, hooks, and platform-native formats that stop the scroll
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics - including reach, engagement, follower growth, and share of voice - and use those insights to continuously optimize content strategy and make a clear case for the channel's impact on the business
  • Own community engagement - responding to comments, DMs, and mentions with a voice that feels human, on-brand, and genuinely fun; turning fans into advocates and everyday interactions into brand moments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, partnerships, PR, and creative, and to support campaigns, product launches, and tentpole moments - while keeping the organic social voice consistent and authentic
  • Build and manage the content calendar - balancing planned campaigns, evergreen content, and real-time opportunities across multiple platforms without dropping the ball on any of them
  • Serve as the internal expert and evangelist for organic social - bringing platform insights, algorithm changes, and emerging format recommendations to the broader team and helping educate stakeholders on what moves the needle and why
What you have
  • 4+ years of experience in organic social media and content strategy, ideally at an e-commerce brand; experience in sports, live events, or ticketing is a strong plus
  • A scrappy, can-do work ethic. Comfortable operating independently, moving fast, and wearing multiple hats - you don't wait for perfect conditions to ship great content
  • Strong organization skills, with experience owning and managing a content calendar across multiple platforms and campaigns simultaneously, without letting real-time moments fall through the cracks
  • Fluent in internet culture - you're always clued into the latest trend, TikTok audio, or viral meme before it peaks, and you know how to translate that into content that feels native, not forced
  • A genuine passion for live entertainment and sports. You understand the cultural weight of the NBA playoffs as much as you know the setlist for the Ariana Grande tour - and you instinctively know how to show up for those moments in real time
  • A data-first mindset. You're a strong evangelist for the power of organic social, fluent in platform analytics, and able to clearly report on what's working, what's not, and how the channel connects to business outcomes and revenue
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills. A natural collaborator who can work fluidly across teams - and who can clearly articulate social strategy to stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience partnering with creative teams and executing within brand guidelines - while knowing how to push those guardrails in ways that feel fresh and platform-native
  • Deep familiarity with social search and AI search optimization - you understand how content gets discovered through in-platform search on TikTok and Instagram, and you're proactive about building content strategies that perform in emerging AI discovery surfaces
  • Hands-on content creation experience, including shooting and editing short-form video (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar); comfortable being a producer, director, and sometimes the talent
  • Sharp editorial instincts and a distinctive writing voice - you can adapt tone across platforms and write captions that stop the scroll, whether that's a single punchy line or a hook that earns the "more."
  • A strong creative eye. You can concept and produce content yourself, write a brief that actually inspires a creative team, and give feedback that's specific, actionable, and makes the work better - not just different
  • A natural community builder with strong instincts for engaging audiences in comments, knowing when to reply, amplify, or escalate, and turning everyday interactions into brand moments
Perks
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you'd like or 100% remotely
  • A WFH stipend to support your home office setup
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Up to 16 weeks of fully-paid family leave
  • 401(k) matching
  • Student loan matching program
  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
  • Up to $25k towards family building, reproductive health services and Gender-affirming care
  • $500 per year for wellness expenses
  • Subscriptions to Headspace (meditation), Headspace Care (therapy), and One Medical
  • $360 per quarter to spend on tickets to live events
  • Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $116,000 USD. In addition, you may receive a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
