Job description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Training and Experience: 10 years of USAF Maintenance experience required. Nellis AFB MX experience desired.

Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret security clearance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages coordination of specialized maintenance support for deployed and allied units, collaborating with host wing staff, MAJCOM agencies, and coalition partners to meet munitions and logistical requirements. Advises deployed maintenance commanders and core unit staff on maintenance procedures, quality assurance, safety, and compliance with weapons-specific local base regulations and Air Force policies.

Oversees all Red Flag munitions operations, working through Nellis AFB Munitions Control to support aircraft during exercise from all DoD services, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, and allied forces Serves as a liaison, coordinating with all deployed units and Red Flag operations on munitions requirements, preparing Red Flag Contracts Part F weapons requirements, and delivering comprehensive unit responsibility briefings during Initial/Final Planning Conferences. Oversees planning and review of aircraft parking for the Live Ordnance Loading Area (LOLA), prioritizing safety and mission continuity. Develops and presents briefings to all participating unit weapons specialists on 57th Wing munitions handling, current safety requirements, and best practices in accordance with the latest Air Force directives.

Overseeing aircraft parking plans, facility assignments, airfield driver training, initial and final planning conference briefings, unit arrival and core staff briefings, coordination with outside agencies, and contract reviews. Duties include: Weapons & Ground Safety, Airfield Driving Program Manager, Facility Manager, above-ground fuel tank custodian, Primary 414 CTS vehicle program manager, Alternate Land Mobile Radio account custodian. Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
