Job description

Atlas Machine & Supply is hiring a Customer Service Specialist to be a key member of our Fulfillment team, supporting the fast-paced Compressed Air industry by ensuring parts requests are handled accurately and efficiently. This role involves regular collaboration with both customers and vendors to process orders, set pricing, confirm delivery timelines, and resolve issues as they arise. 


The Specialist delivers exceptional service by preparing quotes, coordinating parts for repairs, managing parts orders, and assisting with shipping and receiving activities —ensuring a smooth and reliable customer experience from start to finish.


Work Schedule: This is an in-office position - Monday - Friday - 7:00am - 3:30pm

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor Fulfillment mailbox and respond promptly to customer inquiries and parts orders
  • Handle incoming customer calls related to parts requests and order support
  • Source accurate pricing and lead times for compressed air parts from vendors and internal systems
  • Follow up on quoted parts requests and efficiently convert quotes into confirmed orders
  • Perform branch specific shipping and receiving responsibilities
  • Assist with annual inventory
  • Operate forklift and perform all material-handling tasks safely in accordance with company policies 
  • Support team operations by performing additional duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in customer service, order processing, and/or parts sourcing in a fast-paced environment
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems (compressed air or rotating equipment is preferred)
  • Ability to manage timelines and complete all tasks as assigned
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • General computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Office-based customer support role
  • Minimal travel, primarily for training and/or internal meetings
