PRODUCE PREP CLERK
Full Time
Location: 2020 Oregon St
Purpose: To quickly and efficiently package produce while working in a fast paced, dynamic produce department.
Status: Reports to Produce Department Manager and Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
  • Package products neatly, in the appropriate container, and in proper quantity per bag. Alert department manager to low inventories or out-of-stock supply items.
  • Price bargained items.
  • Maintain work station and storage areas that are neat, clean, and hygienic for food handling at all times.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures regarding safety and health codes.
  • Use department equipment as intended in a safe manner, reporting any equipment in need of repair.
  • Answer questions and help customers in the department and throughout the store. Assist in filling special orders.
  • Assist in keeping sales floor clean, neat and organized. As well as product fully stocked and well presented.

Qualifications:
  • Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills:
    • Basic math skills required.
    • Able to understand written and spoken English.
    • Detail oriented with the ability to identify items accurately.
    • Ability to handle multiple demands in a fast paced environment.
  • Other:
    • Must be able to lift 50lbs. Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Able to work in areas of temperature fluctuations.
    • Willingness to work various shifts including early morning, evenings, and weekends.

Pay range: $19.25 - $28.25 per hour
