Job description

Our client, a community food agency in Boston, is looking for an Order Picker to join their team!

Schedule: Monday - Friday - Day Shift 

Pay: $24.00/hour

Responsibilities of the Order Picker:

  • Unloading, counting, sorting moving, selecting and loading materials
  • Accurately documenting transaction documentation in the Warehouse Management System
  • Maintaining inventory and making sure that the soonest expiring material is used first
  • Select and complete orders with voice directed WMS
  • Using and inspecting assigned pallet rider
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by managing trash, washing, vacuuming, sweeping, or other cleaning processes.
  • Be able to work in different areas of the warehouse including cooler and freezer

Qualifications, Skills and Experience of the Order Picker:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of warehouse experience
  • Pallet jack experience and ability to become certified on pallet rider
  • MUST be willing to undergo Background Check & Drug Test
  • Ability to be certified for Food Safety program
  • Inventory experience or willing to learn
  • Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Strong math skills - Being able to add, subtract, multiply and divide while working with percentages and numbers with decimals
