Description

This role specializes in warehouse material transportation and is primarily responsible for accurately

picking and staging orders to be delivered, while assisting the shipping department to maintain inventory

accuracy and maximize store sales by shipping freight in a timely manner. This position is also

responsible for promoting a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers,

and vendors.

Requirements

Restock warehouse products where needed

Assist drivers when needed

Reports to Shipping Coordinator who will assign orders to be picked

Safely operate forklift to build orders according to pick ticket

Build order to safely fit on truck for delivery/ pick and locate hardware items with load

Verify that all quantities and products picked are correct

Sign off and mark location of items on pick ticket

Return pick ticket to shipping coordinator

Assist drivers in loading and unloading truck

On credit returns verify counts and condition of products and place back into stock

Assist customers and warehouse staff when needed

Maintain a clean work area

Maintain a positive team player attitude and act as a mentor to others in your department

and throughout the organization

Come prepared to work each day with tape measure, knife, pencil, work boots

Other duties as instructed by management


QUALIFICATIONS & COMPENTENCIES

Experience in operating forklifts

Solid understanding of health and safety regulations

Good communication and interpersonal abilities

Detail orientated

Must be able to lift to 100 lbs.
