THE ROLE

As an order selector, you will be working in a food distribution facility, doing order picking using forklifts (Center Rider and Dock stocker). This is a great temp-to-perm opportunity with a reputable, leading warehousing company. You will be working in a team environment. This is a growing company that is very busy right now. This position is located in Etobicoke for a large logistics facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate Center Rider and Dock stocker forklifts for order picking and material handling
  • Accurately pick orders using RF scanners and manual picking when required
  • Build and stage pallets to ensure safe and efficient shipment of products
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy targets in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Load, move, and organize skids to support daily operations
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
  • Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support team members and assist with general warehouse duties as needed
  • Participate in shift meetings and safety briefings



REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience operating BOTH Dockstocker and Center Rider forklifts
  • Experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment
  • Ability to commit to 4 shifts per week (10-hour shifts)
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and punctuality
  • Comfortable working in a cold/refrigerated environment
  • Ability to lift and move products safely and efficiently
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
