Job description

Job Title: Order Picker

Job Description

Join one of the world's largest logistics companies, known for its extensive network, including more than 50 warehouses in Canada. This position involves handling shipments from production facilities to retail warehouses. You will play a crucial role in case-picking orders using RF scanners and building pallets for shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Use an RF scanner to locate and case-pick orders, such as boxes of bacon or chicken wings.
  • Build full pallets by physically placing items on them, with weights ranging from 5 to 30 lbs.
  • Stage completed pallets and move to the next order.
  • Initially focus on case picking, with training on reach truck for high-level picking and receiving tasks after 3-4 months.
  • Work primarily in fridge and freezer environments, adapting to varying conditions.

Essential Skills

  • 1-6 months' experience operating a Crown Reach truck or Dock Stocker (stand-up forklift).
  • Experience in order picking.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in fridge and freezer environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Having a vehicle is beneficial due to the location in Puslinch.
