Job description

Job Title: Staff Pharmacist
Location: Lewisville, TX 75067 (On-site)
Type: Contract to hire
Schedule: M-F 8 am - 5 pm
Pay: $60/hour
Openings: 3

About the Role

We’re hiring a Staff Pharmacist to support day-to-day pharmaceutical care and pharmacy operations in a high-volume environment. You’ll oversee pharmacy technicians, verify prescriptions, and ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day pharmaceutical care and manage patient medication needs
  • Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and ensure workflow is compliant and efficient
  • Check/verify technician work per State Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Review prescriptions prior to dispensing; verify/resolve questionable orders
  • Communicate with patients, prescribers, clinics, and other healthcare providers
  • Ensure proper storage/handling of medications and full regulatory compliance (including applicable accreditation standards)
  • Maintain required continuing education to keep licensure active
  • Assist with shipping/logistics for orders before and after shipment
  • Follow site and company policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Active Texas Pharmacist license (required)
  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy OR graduate of a foreign college of pharmacy
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
