Who You Are
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our Tampa, Florida team. This role is responsible for receiving, picking, packing, processing, and shipping orders accurately and efficiently, while maintaining inventory accuracy and a clean, organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable of performing warehouse duties, and comfortable working with both manual and computer-based systems.
What You'll Do
Receiving
• Accept incoming packages from all carriers to include full container shipments with time constraints to unload.
• Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
• Scan or manually input received items into the ERP system
• Stock received items in appropriate/designated warehouse locations
• Alert management to any inaccuracies or discrepancies in received shipments
Picking Orders
• Locate items throughout the warehouse that need to be pulled for shipping
• Maintain a strong knowledge of the warehouse layout to efficiently locate items
• Alert management to any inaccuracies, such as missing or mislabeled inventory
Checking Orders
• Confirm that picked items and quantities are accurate and match order invoices
• Flag and resolve discrepancies before orders move to packing
Packing Orders / Preparing for Shipment
• Identify appropriate boxes and packing materials based on order contents
• Securely pack and seal boxes to prevent damage in transit
• Remove or cover any existing shipping labels on reused materials
• Palletize orders designated to ship via freight
Processing Orders
• Weigh and measure packed and prepared orders
• Input order information accurately into shipping software
• Print and attach correct shipping labels to outgoing packages
Cycle Counts
• Verify and help maintain overall inventory accuracy
• Scan and upload inventory counts from designated warehouse locations
• Alert management to any inaccuracies or discrepancies found during counts
Facility Maintenance
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the workspace during all daily duties
• Dispose of garbage and cardboard properly and regularly
What You Bring
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer literacy, including comfort using ERP systems, shipping software, and barcode scanners
• Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, including proactively reporting issues to management
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
• Basic math skills for measuring, weighing, and counting inventory
• Prior warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required
• Forklift or pallet jack certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements
The above duties may, at times, require the physical ability to:
• Lift, pull, push, and/or carry boxes of various sizes and weights up to 51 lbs., Over 51 lbs. require a team lift (two or more people) or mechanical assistance like a forklift, hand truck, or pallet jack
• Safely use appropriate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and carts to maneuver boxes heavier than comfortable lifting weight
• Safely use rolling stairs and ladders to reach high shelves
• Stand, walk, sit, and/or bend for extended periods
• Work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures, not air-conditioned
Schedule
• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Our Tampa, Florida location
• Occasional overtime may be required based on order volume
