Job description

What you'll do

You will be Scout motors Inc. integrated in the team responsible for the Production Steering by achieving the following:ย  theย Order Management Specialistย is responsible forย overseeing the complete lifecycle of customer orders within the automotive manufacturing environment. This includesย afterย order handover toย manufacturingย ofย order delivery toย Outbound.ย ย ย ย 

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Coordinate and oversee the orderย afterย handover from Sales through manufacturing.ย 
  • Monitor the material availability to secure the introduction of the order to production.ย 
  • Monitor any production or facility changes affecting order production.ย 
  • Manage orders,ย block,ย release,ย scrap,ย according toย requirementsย and communicate accordingly.ย ย 
  • Interface within Production Steering for management of orders and production plan.ย 
  • Interact with Production Control and coordinate any recovery plans to the production plan.ย 
  • Track the on-time performance of theย delivery date.ย 
  • Report any deficiencies or plans to recover delayed orders.ย 
  • Collect,ย prepareย and deliver theย order management details through, daily, weekly,ย monthlyย and yearly reporting cycle.ย ย 
  • Meet the global reporting requirements of the team.ย ย 
  • Support other requirements, including VDA/ย BMSย ,ย as necessary.ย ย 

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina.ย 
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.ย 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyย from time to time.

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration, engineeringย orย a relatedย field.ย ย An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.ย 
  • 4+ย years inย order management or order fulfillmentย within the automotive industry.ย 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.ย 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsย with translation to business report writing.ย 
  • Proficiencyย in ERP and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).ย 
  • Strong excel and data analysis capabilities.ย 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • Ability to communicate complex issues into common language for the organization.ย 
  • Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills able to work at each hierarchical level of the companyย 
  • Detailed knowledge of systems, including Microsoft office suite, especially excel.ย ย ย

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial Base Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00

Internal Leveling Code: IC9
