We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Order Processing Specialist at our Cleveland, OH location. We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn and grow with our team. Objectives
  • Process error free customer purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Achieve departmental goals by meeting or exceeding the on-time order processing objective.
  • Achieve individual and departmental productivity goals.
  • Complete cross-training to perform all sales support functions accurately and effectively.
  • Uphold the Merit Brass corporate mission statement, acting with a sense of urgency and upholding the core values as published.
  • Maintain a professional, ethical, and respectful attitude while exercising teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Enter customer orders within established order-processing timeframes and departmental performance standards.
  • Receive, review, and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support the timely and accurate processing of customer purchase orders.
  • Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions related to errors, process gaps, and departmental performance goals.
  • Participate in required training and cross-training to support current responsibilities and future role development.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and personal accountability while performing additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the department supervisor.
  • Work overtime as business needs require and as directed by a manager or supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally and foster effective teamwork within the department and across cross-functional teams.

Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clear speech and grammatically correct writing.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and apply an extensive product and part-number matrix.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively use computer software systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage workflow effectively.
  • Demonstrated accuracy, focus, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Dependable work habits, including consistent attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
