Order Management Specialist
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide customer support through quoting, sourcing, and delivering product/parts quotations.
Order Management Specialist Essential Functions/Success Factors:
  1. Prioritizes and manages daily workflow, along with communicating, supporting and collaborating with Order Specialists, Account Managers and Supervisors to ensure internal and external requests and deadlines are met. Employs a "QUOTE TO WIN" strategy around all opportunities and escalates issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
  2. Consistently exhibits exceptional customer service that results in lasting business partnerships. Takes responsibility for overall customer satisfaction, including the direct involvement and coordination of expediting deliveries. Provides consistent service levels and product expertise, while proactively engaging in customer interaction over the phone, including with quotation follow up.
  3. Coordinates the delivery of products by collaborating closely with vendors, engineers, customers, shop, and warehouse personnel.

Order Management Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Source and price designated products/parts for customers
  • Field customer calls to answer basic questions and provide parts/product quotes
  • Send finalized quotes to customers
  • Maintain working knowledge of designated product lines
  • Coordinate with shop on existing work in progress
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Verify accuracy and completeness prior to submitting orders for processing
  • Coordinate with Order Specialists on order processing, delivery, and customer follow up
  • Exercise appropriate techniques to determine opportunities for application reviews by the Application Engineering group - cross-selling additional products and services

Order Management Specialist Skills/Qualifications:
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel and other MS Suite tools required
  • Strong desire and proven ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, requiring little supervision
  • Discreet with confidential information
  • Desire to help others and work with them to find solutions
  • Proven ability to work closely with others, particularly peers and sales staff

Order Management Specialist Working Conditions:
Work is primarily in an office with the possibility for overnight travel a few times per year to visit customer sites or attend training.
Order Management Specialist Base Wage Range: Prior work or industry experience as well as job-related education and unique skills will be taken into consideration when setting the wage rate. Most Specialists are hired with a starting wage between $24.00-$27.00/hour. 5 or more years of experience in role can increase to $28-$30/hr.
