What you'll do

Reporting to the Manager, Solution Architect, the Retail Solution Architect will support hands-on technical solution design and delivery for Supply Chain & Logistics, Store Technology, Merchandising, and eCommerce/Digital lines of business.


Solution Design & Architecture

  • Define end-to-end solution architecture across retail domains (Supply Chain, Merchandising, Store Technology)

  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient solution designs

  • Create architecture artifacts (including - Solution Diagrams, Design Patterns, data integrations and flows, APIs)

Business & Stakeholder Alignment

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to align on outcomes

  • Act as a bridge between business strategy and technical execution

  • Provide architectural guidance and influence decision-making

Domain Expertise

  • Supply Chain: forecasting, replenishment, inventory, fulfillment, logistics

  • Merchandising: assortment, pricing, promotions, product lifecycle

  • Retail: POS, store systems, associate tools, omnichannel experiences

Integration & Data Architecture

  • Design solutions across enterprise systems (Order Management, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Merchandising Management, POS, Digital Commerce etc.)

  • Define integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architectures, and data flows

  • Ensure consistency across data models and business processes

Delivery Oversight

  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented as designed

  • Support solution reviews, risk mitigation, and issue resolution

  • Ensure adherence to Enterprise architecture standards and best practices

Technology Strategy & Modernization

  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and modernization initiatives

  • Evaluate platforms, tools, and vendor solutions

  • Drive adoption of cloud, API-first, and AI-enabled capabilities

What you bring

  • 8+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or related technology leadership roles.

  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions within the retail industry.

  • Strong understanding of multiple business domains (Supply Chain, Merchandising, Retail).

  • Deep knowledge of cloud-driven solutions, particularly with Azure and Azure Kubernetes Services.

  • Experience translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient technical solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to create architecture artifacts, including:

    • Solution architecture diagrams

    • System integration designs

    • Logical diagrams

    • Component diagrams

    • API and interface specifications

  • Deep knowledge of enterprise platforms in retail and supply chain ecosystems - including Order Management, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Merchandising Management, POS, Digital Commerce and related applications and technologies.

  • Experience designing and implementing:

    • API-led architectures

    • Event-driven architectures

    • Microservices-based solutions

    • Enterprise integration patterns

  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and modernization initiatives

  • Evaluate platforms, tools, and vendor solutions

  • Drive adoption of cloud, API-first, and AI-enabled capabilities

Broadband Salary Range:90,000 - 131,000 per annum.
