Job description

As a Warehouse Freezer Associate you will play a key role in contributing to the continued success of Silver Hills Bakery whose mission is to inspire individuals to live a healthy lifestyle. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic production work environment and will have the opportunity to learn new skills and work in a team setting. In this role, you are responsible for completing the duties listed below as well as other duties as assigned by your manager or their designate.

  • Follow all safety and quality standards as set out by the company
  • Locate, pick, wrap and stage outgoing product in freezer environment
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout plant manually and using powered equipment
  • Operate and drive straight trucks to transport goods and materials over urban and short inter-urban routes
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage
  • Check, weigh, and count materials and products
  • Complete order picking, packing, and receiving
  • Material handling, inventory, clean-up, packaging, and other elemental activities in processing and manufacturing
  • Complete reports by entering the required information
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

Forklift Certificate

Able to lift 25kg repeatedly

Basic RF and computerized WMS knowledge

Able to work flexible shifts

Basics mathematic skills

Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Must have a positive attitude

Have excellent communication and organizational skills
