Job description

The Order Fulfillment Specialist is a Warehouse role responsible for the end-to-end fulfillment of our complex, highest-volume accounts. This individual will act as the floor-level subject matter expert for those customers, executing strict routing, specialized labeling, and high-volume consolidation. By owning these accounts, the role ensures zero-defect shipments, while protecting the daily capacity of the broader warehouse team.
Core Responsibilities
  • Order Fulfillment: Serve as an Order Fulfillment Specialist for daily parcel volume, weekly consolidated hub shipments, and large-scale automotive orders assigned.
  • Strict Compliance & Labeling: Execute complex, customer-specific labeling and routing requirements with a zero-defect mentality, specifically for strict automotive industry standards.
  • Workflow Staging & Load Management: Proactively pick, prep, and stage freight earlier in the week (Monday-Thursday) to prevent dock bottlenecks and eliminate Thursday/Friday shipping delays.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform visual audits, cycle counts, and final QA checks on all outbound freight prior to dispatch to prevent vendor chargebacks and ensure 100% compliance with customer routing guides.
  • Communication: Work directly with the Warehouse Manager and Customer Service reps to report on the status of outbound freight and highlight any potential inventory shortages before they impact cut-off times.
  • Ensure ASN compliance: Send Advanced Shipment Notices as necessary to prevent vendor chargebacks and ensure 100% compliance with customer routing guides.
  • Complete Inventory Cycle Counts: Execute accurate cycle counts to ensure up-to-date inventory accuracy.
  • Pack and Ship Orders: Re-package products as needed by weigh- counting items and ensuring the accurate quantity is in each box.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of order fulfillment or warehouse experience.
  • Ability to read and communicate both verbally and written in English.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, specifically in high-volume pick/pack, parcel processing, and LTL/TL freight loading.
  • High attention to detail with an understanding of strict vendor compliance and custom routing guides (automotive experience is a major plus).
  • Ability to work independently and manage a structured weekly workflow without constant direct supervision.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), barcode scanners, and shipping software.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain one) to manage large, consolidated pallets.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage staged inventory across multiple days prior to final shipment.
  • Experience with JD Edwards ERP system or another ERP system preferred.
