Job description

Order Fulfillment Team Member

Our Order Fulfillment Team is responsible for processing up to 200 orders per day. This includes pulling orders for home delivery, in store pick up and store replenishment, as well as working with the merchandising team to replenish the products on the sales floor.

In addition, the team is responsible for inventory control, which includes put away and movement of merchandise in our 15,000 sq. ft. Fulfillment Center. The company utilizes incredible technological support including RF handheld devices for all pulling, operations and inventory movement.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures that all work assignments are being completed on time
  • Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
  • Maintains proficiency, accuracy, pace and safety in all tasks and roles in the Manhattan Fulfillment center including the ability to pick (elfa, general merchandise, and floor), cut, locate, consolidate, bundle and expedite
  • Understands inventory management and its importance to support customer service and sales. Promotes an overall inventory culture as well as a commitment to accuracy in stockroom and floor locations as well as within individual orders
  • Provides phone coverage and support that is professional, courteous and displays good business judgment. Checks voicemail and email consistently, ensuring timely communication to our customers.
  • Engages with customers to solve their organizational challenges. Consistently works to improve product knowledge and shares information with customers and the store team.
  • Demonstrates enthusiastic and productive behavior, with the fulfillment team to provide exceptional service to our customers and meet or exceed company goals and objectives
  • Supports all company initiatives and directives, campaigns and special events in a timely manner
  • Responsible for supporting store sales goals in partnership with the store team each day
  • Maintains a safe working and shopping environment, utilizing all available resources, ensuring safety and security of the employees, customers and property
  • Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
  • Performs other requested tasks and duties

  • College degree preferred
  • Retail experience and stockroom logistics experience a plus
  • Is committed to working scheduled hours and supports changing business needs
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to travel between the Manhattan stores based on the business needs
  • Possesses a solid understanding and working knowledge of each store system application (CDC, new POS, Order Management, Order Actions, Order Administration, RF Applications for Order and Picking) and has the ability to apply each one appropriately to execute the job and manage the daily business needs
  • Is able to speak confidently and comfortably before groups of varying sizes and can adapt their delivery according to the needs of the audience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
