Job description

CLIENT SERVICE COORDINATOR
For over 40 years, LD Signs (Design Ventures) has produced custom industrial signs for petrochemical companies and their service providers. Clients trust us for accurate work and fast turnaround.
THE ROLE
LD Signs is hiring a Client Service Coordinator to take care of customers who already know and trust us. You will turn requests into clear, accurate information our shop can act on. This is a full-time, in-person position in Baytown, Texas.
Customers may know the result they need without knowing every dimension, material, quantity, production detail, or deadline. You will ask good questions, gather missing information, prepare accurate quotes and orders, and keep everyone aligned.
Phone calls and emails are central to the work. You will help existing customers while tracking active jobs, changes, and deadlines. This hourly role has no commission, cold calling, lead generation, door-to-door sales, or outbound prospecting.
LD Signs may train employees to use company-approved AI-assisted tools for limited tasks such as organizing information or drafting routine communications. Prior AI experience is not required. Any AI-assisted work must follow LD Signs' approved-tool and confidentiality procedures and be checked against the customer request, quote, order, or another approved source before use.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Respond professionally and promptly to customer calls, emails, questions, and project requests.
- Confirm dimensions, quantities, materials, timing, delivery requirements, and other information needed to quote or produce a job.
- Prepare quotes and convert approved work into complete, accurate orders and work instructions.
- Review information before it reaches production and catch missing or conflicting details early.
- Coordinate with production about requirements, feasibility, priorities, changes, and expected completion dates.
- Track active jobs and follow through on open questions, approvals, changes, and promised updates.
- Keep customers informed when a job's status, requirements, or timing changes.
- Maintain accurate customer, quote, order, and project notes in company systems.
- Help resolve questions calmly and take ownership until the correct next step is clear.
- Learn our products, materials, equipment capabilities, terminology, systems, and production process.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to numbers, dimensions, quantities, dates, names, and instructions.
- The ability to listen carefully, ask useful questions, and turn incomplete information into a clear next step.
- Comfort managing several jobs, deadlines, and customer conversations at once.
- Consistent follow-through when you promise an answer or update.
- Sound judgment about when to resolve an issue and when to involve a company leader.
- A calm, respectful approach when priorities change or a customer is frustrated.
- Comfort learning business software, order-entry processes, technical terms, and unfamiliar products.
Experience in customer service, order entry, project coordination, estimating, account support, or a fast-paced administrative environment is preferred. Sign-industry or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. Interest in learning to use approved AI-assisted tools responsibly is welcome.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success means collecting complete information, preparing accurate quotes and orders, keeping open work organized, recognizing problems early, and building trust through communication and follow-through.
PAY
$21.00–$24.00 per hour.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply through this posting. After reviewing applications, we will contact selected candidates about next steps, which may include a facility visit and a conversation with the team.
