Job Summary

Be the link between field work and system accuracy-supporting the records, data, and processes that keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

Work Order Support Coordinator II provides administrative support for close-out and asset setup activities, including accurate data entry of various operations related gas records into the gas inspection and maintenance management system (GIMMS).


What you will do

  • Responsible for completing gas and electric small and large work requests within the work management system.

  • Completes billing for gas and electric construction with the work management and other systems.

  • Uses and maintains basic computer applications to create documents, forms, spreadsheets, charts, graphics, and presentations.

  • Researches, compiles, and analyzes basic information for inclusion in reports or presentation materials, prepares charts, graphs, and tables.

  • Responsible and accountable for the timely and accurate entry of gas records - such as pipe inspection forms, sewer forms, odorant reads - into the record system.

  • Generates reports and statistical information, including work pending, work ready, work available by priority, and work ready to be closed.

  • Responsible for submitting completed and closed gas and electric work requests to geographic information system (GIS) for mapping.

  • Provides administrative functional support related to gas and electric system construction, which may include providing data and information to various field personnel and working with a variety of computer systems and databases.

  • Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy's Values and helps deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.

Education Requirements

  • Associate Degree Preferred


Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Must be willing to travel.

  • Travel can include occasional overnight stays.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint preferred. Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat (PDF) software preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

  • Basic proficiency in grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofreading.

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of compliance or regulatory recordkeeping preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of utility operations, safety, and energy industry terminology preferred.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to effectively meet deadlines with quality work completion.

Pay Range:

$20.81-$23.40

This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
