Job description

Tool Crib Attendant (3rd shift) (11pm - 7:30am):

Summary/Purpose

Primary responsibility of this position is to maintain and control tool crib items and chemical inventories.  Ensure that all items are properly stored and readily available to support maintenance and manufacturing activities.  Requires frequent use of Oracle system. 

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.

  • Maintain accurate records of all tools, parts, and supplies in the tool crib
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts
  • Issue tools and equipment to maintenance and manufacturing associates
  • Track tool check-out/check-in
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure tool crib area
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of tools and materials
  • Adherence to 5S standards
  • Locate, retrieve and distribute tool crib components from shelves using ladders, forklift, pallet jackets and other equipment as needed
  • Follow all directions/policies and adherence to quality requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability to obtain.

  • Working knowledge of Oracle or similar systems.
  • Proficient computer skills (especially MS Office Applications) with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient math skills for accuracy of inventory control.
  • Demonstrate and support the JTKET philosophy, policies, standards for quality, IATF 16949, standard work, safety, environmental and ergonomics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a positive customer service attitude
  • Knowledge of stocking items and inventory counts
  • Good organizational skills, including prioritizing and handling multiple tasks
  • Able to communicate and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment without limited direct supervision
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
