Role Summary

This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining geospatial data integration workflows, with a focus on automation, data quality, and system optimization. The role requires advanced expertise in GIS data management, spatial database management, and application development within the ArcGIS environment. It offers an opportunity to deliver end-to-end geospatial solutions through collaboration across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain GIS data integration workflows utilizing tools such as FME, Python, and ArcPy for spatial data transformation and automation.
  • Manage and optimize spatial databases, primarily leveraging Oracle Spatial, with a focus on performance and data integrity.
  • Develop, support, and troubleshoot GIS applications and data models within the ArcGIS platform.
  • Build scalable ETL pipelines that ensure high data quality, system performance, and compliance with geospatial standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive geospatial data solutions and insights.
  • Perform spatial data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting to maintain database accuracy and reliability.
  • Write and optimize PL/SQL scripts for database management and data manipulation tasks.
  • Provide technical support and documentation for GIS workflows, applications, and databases.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in GIS data management, spatial database management, or related fields.

  • Extensive experience with Oracle Spatial and PL/SQL development.
  • Familiarity with geospatial data standards, data modeling, and ETL pipeline design.
  • Ability to develop and support GIS applications across the ArcGIS environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver geospatial solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial Science, Geography, Computer Science, or a related area; equivalent professional experience acceptable.
  • Demonstrated experience working on complex spatial data projects in a fast-paced environment.

Publishing Pay Range: $55.00 - $60.00 hourly
