Key Responsibilities – Oracle Subscription Management (Techno-Functional)

The Oracle Subscription Management Techno-Functional Consultant is responsible for delivering end-to-end subscription solutions across the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle by combining deep functional expertise with strong technical implementation skills. The role involves configuring subscription processes, integrating Oracle Fusion applications with external CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com, enabling billing and revenue recognition, and ensuring seamless data flow and business process alignment across systems.

Techno-Functional Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end Quote-to-Cash solutions, aligning business processes with Oracle Subscription Management capabilities, including subscription creation, amendments, renewals, and terminations.
  • Configure subscription business processes such as product models, pricing structures (recurring, usage-based, tiered), billing frequencies, renewal rules, and contract modifications while ensuring compliance with ASC 606/IFRS 15 revenue standards.
  • Integrate Oracle Subscription Management with Salesforce.com, enabling seamless lead-to-order and opportunity-to-subscription flows using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or event-driven architectures.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to synchronize customer, opportunity, quote, and contract data between Salesforce and Oracle, ensuring a unified customer view.
  • Design and manage integrations with other Oracle modules, including Oracle CPQ, Order Management (OM), Receivables (AR), and Revenue Management (RMCS) to support a cohesive subscription and billing ecosystem.
  • Develop and configure application extensions using Application Composer, Groovy scripting, and Visual Builder (VBCS/VB Studio) to meet unique business requirements while maintaining upgrade-safe customizations.
  • Execute data migration and synchronization for customers, subscriptions, pricing, and transactional data using File-Based Data Import (FBDI), ADF Desktop Integrator (ADFdi), and real-time integration patterns.
  • Configure and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), mapping business personas (Sales, Billing, Finance, Customer Success) to appropriate Oracle security roles and ensuring compliance with governance policies.
  • Enable billing and financial integration, ensuring accurate invoice generation in Oracle Receivables and seamless revenue recognition in Oracle Revenue Management (RMCS).
  • Develop business and operational reports using OTBI and BI Publisher, providing insights into subscription metrics such as MRR, ARR, churn, renewals, and revenue forecasts.
  • Support end-to-end testing cycles, including unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring that both functional scenarios and technical integrations perform as expected.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating functional requirements into technical specifications and ensuring successful solution delivery.
  • Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvements, including troubleshooting integration issues, optimizing performance, and implementing enhancements aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including Functional Design Documents (FDD), Technical Design Documents (TDD), integration specifications, and business process flows.
