Job description

Golden State Water Company is one of the largest investor-owned water utilities in the United States. POSITION DEFINITION:
The individual in this position reports to the Information Technology Supervisor with the responsibility of providing 24 x 7 support for the Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) system, it's associated application components (e.g. Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher, Automic Automation Manager, OpenText Exstream, etc.), and integrations with external cloud-based applications such as Oracle Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) system and Customer Web Self-Service (CSS) solutions. The incumbent works as part of a "hands-on" onsite support team and as a senior systems analyst with extensive experience in all aspects of information technology.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
* Executes system analysis for small-to-medium sized projects independently, and provides significant contributions to large/complex projects with assistance from team members.
* Documents requirements, solution design, diagrams business processes and system workflows.
* Performs application setups and configurations.
* Performs rapid and accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of production issues.
* Provides direct end-user support for any issues or questions related to the applications.
* Acts as needed as the primary point of contact with Oracle support services.
* Analyzes base code problems, refers to Oracle, and tracks to closure.
* Supports customizations (i.e. configuration, interfaces, modifications, and reports).
* Lends expertise with system and component upgrades.
* Recommends and may assist in the testing of patches and upgrades.
* Recommends, designs, and deploys best practices for new technologies and implementations as well as knowledge transfer and mentoring to other team members.
* Participates in Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
* Provides after hours on-call support.
* Other related duties as necessary to support Company goals and objectives.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
* BS in Computer Science (or related discipline) or equivalent work experience.
* Seven (7) or more years' significant systems analysis experience required.
* Proficient in troubleshooting application, middleware and database issues.
* Must have experience in Business Application, Production Control disciplines, and Change Management.
* Outstanding written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Energetic and self-motivated team player with ability to work effectively and cooperatively with project and infrastructure teams.
* Specific required skills include:
o Oracle Database Administration
o SQL, PL/SQL, and either SQL Developer or Toad
o Understanding of network technologies/concepts
o Linux OS Administration and commands

Highly Desirable Skills
* Three (3) or more years' experience configuring, coding, and troubleshooting Oracle's Customer Care and Billing software with the following skills:

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws.Multiple factors are used to determine the actual starting rate of pay for all of our positions, including specific skills, years of experience, education, certification(s), and other job related factors.
