Senior Oracle Database Administrator – Yakshna Solutions, Inc (YSI)

Job Overview

This role supports the Provisioning and Access Control (PAC) platform and Oracle infrastructure for over 55,000 users. Responsibilities include Oracle modernization, migration, operational sustainment, troubleshooting, and coordination with Linux and security teams.

Primary Duties
  • Support daily Oracle database administration in production and non‑production PAC environments.
  • Partner with senior database engineering team on modernization and migration initiatives.
  • Assist with Oracle Exadata operational sustainment and modernization.
  • Support Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure and Data Guard administration.
  • Perform database performance tuning, health monitoring, and operational support.
  • Support migration and upgrade initiatives, including Oracle 19c modernization.
  • Assist with RHEL platform upgrade and infrastructure modernization.
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve Oracle/Linux operational and migration‑related issues.
  • Coordinate with Linux/server teams for RHEL configuration and security compliance.
  • Validate Oracle compatibility, infrastructure readiness and operational stability during modernization.
  • Support backup/recovery validation and disaster recovery activities.
  • Assist with patching, vulnerability remediation and operational maintenance.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis and operational troubleshooting.
  • Support operational documentation, SOP development and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide Tier‑3 operational support for enterprise identity and access management services.
Required Skills
  • 5+ years Oracle Database Administration experience.
  • Experience supporting Oracle databases in Linux/RHEL environments.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure and Data Guard.
  • Experience in Oracle Exadata environments.
  • Experience with Oracle 12c/19c enterprise database environments.
  • Experience in enterprise Oracle migration or modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with RHEL 7/8/9 administration concepts.
  • Experience troubleshooting Oracle/Linux integration and compatibility issues.
  • Experience with patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Strong troubleshooting in mission‑critical production environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex Oracle/Linux infrastructure issues independently.
  • Ability to collaborate across DBA, Linux, infrastructure, application and security teams.
Desired Skills
  • Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) environments.
  • PAC/IGA/Identity Management environments.
  • Oracle WebLogic middleware environments.
  • Oracle deployments within private cloud or SCOP‑like environments.
  • STIG compliance, RMF, FIPS and security hardening requirements.
  • Oracle Exadata migration or modernization efforts.
  • Oracle Grid Infrastructure/ASM deployments on RHEL 8/9.
  • OEM, AWR, TKPROF, RMAN and Oracle diagnostic tools.
  • Large‑scale enterprise environments with high availability.
