The Senior Financial Analyst is an individual contributor role in supporting Medrina’s financial strategy and decision-making processes. This role is a blend of business partnering, financial reporting, analysis, and ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate is a disciplined self-starter, analytical, comfortable collaborating across departments in remote setting and has knowledge of healthcare finance concepts.  The analyst will engage in multiple workstreams and manage ongoing deadlines through prioritization, initiative-taking, resourcefulness, and ability to learn new technical skills and business concepts to create solutions. Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and team skills are necessary. This position reports to the FP&A Director.  

This is a full-time role operating from central or eastern regions of United States during standard business hours, 8a-5p, Monday - Friday (from your home office remotely) with occasional travel in the United States for company meetings (this is not a flexible schedule opportunity). This role handles sensitive information, work must be performed in a private and secure setting (with a door) requiring reliable internet and phone connectivity.  The candidate must reside in central or eastern region of United States.  This role does not offer immigration visa sponsorship. 

This role offers an annual salary of $90,000 - $100,000 plus $100 monthly teleworker stipend.  We offer robust benefits package including 15 days of vacation, 7 paid holidays, and 5 sick days. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  •  Partner with business leaders to deliver financial insights that support strategic and operational decisions through budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and KPIs  
  • Lead monthly financial reviews, operational reviews, and management decks 

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning 

  • Develop and maintain executive reporting and financial analytics supporting ACO performance, including attribution, patient growth, utilization, provider performance, quality outcomes, and shared savings. 

  • Perform deep-dive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks for scenarios from billing to compensation planning to vendor selection  

  • Support ad hoc projects including BI improvements, pricing analysis, investment evaluations, and process improvements 

  • Serves as a liaison between Operations and BI partners to assist in gathering business requirements for system modifications, enhancement, reporting, and implementations 

  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and insights for management, lenders, and owners   

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field 

  1. 5 years FP&A experience in healthcare industry with Accountable Care organization (ACO) with population health, cost of care, reimbursement trends for FFS (Fee for service), VBC (value-based care) contracts.

  1. Advanced level proficiency in Excel and financial modeling skills (use of LOOKUP’s, pivot and power pivot tables, sumifs, waterfalls, logic functions) 

  1. Prior experience and proficiency with an EMR system, and database tools: Tableau or PBI, or SQL and AI tools (Claude co-work) 

  1. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly, experience delivering insights and trends to operation leaders to educate and improve KPIs 

  1. Ability to learn new software tools and financial systems quickly: Oracle Hyperion, Workday Adaptive Insights, NetSuite 

  1. Proactive, disciplined, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment 

 Physical Requirements:

  1. This is a full-time remote, work-from-home position, primarily working during standard business hours handling sensitive and confidential information. Work must be performed in a private and secure setting requiring reliable internet and phone connectivity 
  1. Ability to communicate via virtual/online meetings daily with a camera on as well as being responsive in a timely manner during work hours via email, MS Teams and phone. 

  1. Ability for occasional travel for training, meetings, on-site visits to clinical settings 

  1. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, lift and move up to 25 pounds
