Job Description

Responsibilities:

Create and run Oracle VMware instances for the purpose of building a redundant, stable application hosting architecture.

Install, upgrade, and patch Oracle Fusion Middleware software.

Monitor and evaluate efficiency of system usage and make recommendations to management to improve performance.

Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Prepare, update and maintain technical documentation.

Preventative and proactive system monitoring.

 Nice to have:

Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to manage an application hosting environment.

Web Application development.

Java application development.

Qualifications

 Must Haves:

3 - 5 years of System Administration knowledge Redhat/Oracle Linux; certifications preferred

Installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Oracle Fusion Middleware software in a Linux environment.

Experience with multi-tiered application environments.

Experience with LDAP-based enterprise directories.

Ability to demonstrate track record of maintaining server integrity and uptime.

Experience writing shell scripts to automate tasks.

Proven experience troubleshooting issues that occur with the applications running on Linux servers.
