Position: Oracle EBS Finance Functional Consultant (Upgrade Experience)

Location: Chicago, IL (On Demand travel)

Duration: Long term contract

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Finance Functional Consultant with strong expertise in EBS upgrades to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing, upgrading, and supporting Oracle Financials modules, and will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to ensure smooth transition and process improvements during EBS upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support Oracle EBS Finance module upgrades (preferably from 12.1.x to 12.2.x).
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM).
  • Perform fit-gap analysis and provide solutions aligned with Oracle best practices.
  • Work with technical teams on customizations, extensions, interfaces, and reports (CEMLI) during upgrade.
  • Conduct functional testing, UAT support, and end-user training.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting, reporting, and audit requirements.
  • Provide post-upgrade support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processes.
  • Prepare functional documentation, configuration setups, and upgrade impact assessments.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS Finance Functional Consultant.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Financials modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), and Cash Management (CM).
  • Proven experience with EBS R12 upgrades (12.1 to 12.2) including functional impact analysis.
  • Strong understanding of EBS architecture, workflows, and functional setups.
  • Experience in functional testing, data validation, and cutover planning.
  • Ability to work closely with business users, technical developers, and DBA teams.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with integration of EBS Finance with Procurement, Projects, or HRMS.
