Job description

Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Database Architect/Oracle DBA with strong expertise in Oracle database administration, PeopleSoft infrastructure support, database performance optimization, and enterprise application environments. The role involves designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining Oracle databases supporting large-scale enterprise and financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and administer Oracle databases supporting enterprise applications
  • Perform Oracle database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, tuning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, reports, and shell scripts
  • Support and maintain PeopleSoft infrastructure components including WebLogic, Tuxedo, Application Server, Process Scheduler, and PIA
  • Monitor database performance and recommend optimization strategies and infrastructure improvements
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to analyze workflows, system requirements, and maintain documentation
  • Provide technical expertise related to database architecture, security, scalability, and reliability
  • Participate in project planning, coordination, scheduling, and SDLC activities
  • Track Oracle patches, fixes, upgrades, and emerging technologies relevant to enterprise database environments

Required Skills & Experience
  • 8+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience with Oracle 12c or higher including installation, upgrades, and patching
  • 7+ years of experience designing, creating, and maintaining Oracle databases including complex SQL tuning, stored procedures, views, triggers, and performance analysis
  • 5+ years of SQL and UNIX shell scripting experience
  • 5+ years of experience using TOAD and related Oracle database tools
  • Strong knowledge of relational database architecture, engineering, and design principles
  • Experience implementing database security and information protection standards
  • Experience installing and configuring PeopleSoft infrastructure components including WebLogic, Tuxedo, Application Server, Process Scheduler, and PIA
  • Experience serving as DBA on at least one full lifecycle PeopleSoft implementation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Treasury 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.55+
  • Experience with PeopleSoft database administration including PeopleCode and Data Mover Scripts
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Cloud, and Exadata
  • Experience with Oracle Forms, Perl, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and UNIX shell scripting
  • Oracle OCP/OCM certification preferred
  • Experience creating complex SQL reports, data extracts, and database models/data dictionaries
  • Experience working within Agile and SDLC environments
