Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator (12c/19c, RAC, Data Guard, OEM Specialist) 14+ years of exp

Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification  

Qualifications:

  • Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification in Oracle Database 12c or higher (Oracle AI Database Administration certification does not meet this requirement)
  • Experience installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining Oracle Database 12c or higher in Unix-like environments (e.g., AIX, Linux), specifically in multitenant RAC environments configured with Data Guard (engineered systems and cloud environments are excluded)
  • Experience troubleshooting critical Oracle Database 12c or higher issues, including server and database crashes, storage failures, and disk-related issues, with direct engagement with Oracle Support Services
  • Experience installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining Oracle Database Appliance (ODA), specifically supporting High Availability (HA) configurations with Oracle Database 12c or higher RAC databases
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving Oracle Database 12c or higher performance issues, including cross-functional troubleshooting across storage, network, database, and application tiers
  • 84 months of experience using Oracle Data Pump (Export/Import) and RMAN for backup, recovery, and restoration of Oracle Database 12c or higher environments, including RMAN-based recovery operations
  • Experience installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c or higher in Unix-like environments (e.g., AIX, Linux)
  • Experience leveraging Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for proactive monitoring and issue detection, including advanced features such as metric extensions and monitoring templates
  • Experience installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining Oracle Application Express (APEX) on Oracle Database 12c or higher environments (database tier)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience documenting technical processes, including the development of system architecture diagrams and operational documentation
  • Experience performing server hardware maintenance activities, including racking and stacking, cabling, and component replacement
