Job Description
Title: Data Modeler
Location: Reston, VA

Key Job Functions: Translate the business and data requirements into logical data model. Conform with modeling process and procedures. Ability to clearly walk thru the model with design/architecture/delivery teams. Deliver data models, data dictionaries, data maps, and other data modeling artifacts per established project plans.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Minimum of five years' hands-on experience in data modeling.
• Expertise in relational and dimensional modeling in OLTP and Data Warehousing environment
• Expertise with data management standards and data model practices.
• Strong analytical skills with a problem solving approach capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Work effectively with multifunctional teams and ability to build good working relationships.
• Experience with ER Studio, ERWin modeling tools and ER/Studio Repository or ERWin Model Mart.
• Experience in database development, design, and best practices.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts.
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
• Prior mortgage experience.
• Schema-On-Read modeling (Hadoop/Hive) & Redshift physical modeling experience preferred
