Job description

CTG is seeking to fill an Oracle Database Migration Engineer / DBA – Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB) position for our client.

Location: Dallas, TX or Middletown, NJ

Duration: 12 months

Responsible for planning, executing, and supporting the migration of enterprise Oracle databases from on-premises environments to Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB). The role will assess existing databases, identify migration dependencies and incompatibilities, perform schema/data migration, optimize workloads on ADB, and support post-migration stabilization. The DBA will work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, and migration teams to ensure a secure, performant, and low-risk migration.

Primary Skills Needed

  • 10+ years Oracle DBA experience with strong Oracle Database administration
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB / ADW / ATP)
  • Experience with Oracle database migration from on-premises to OCI/ADB
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle architecture, RAC, Data Guard

Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with migration tools:
  • Oracle Data Pump
  • RMAN
  • Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM)
  • GoldenGate / replication
  • Database assessment and compatibility analysis for ADB migration
  • Experience identifying and resolving:

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $105,000 to $135,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
