What you'll accomplish with us

As a Cloud Technology Designer (FinOps focus), you'll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Provide your technical expertise to optimize the selection, operation, performance, and costs of cloud services by recommending and designing solutions aligned with business needs, technology standards, and financial efficiency.
  • Act as a technical leader within the delivery team, participate in deployment activities to ensure solution integrity, and contribute to the implementation of complex components using automated infrastructure pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with analysts and architects from the requirements-gathering phase to define appropriate solutions, taking into account constraints, system capabilities, and cloud best practices.
  • Support cloud consumers in understanding their usage, analyze trends, identify optimization opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to improve the performance and value of cloud environments.
  • Contribute to the implementation and evolution of FinOps practices by promoting cost transparency, governance, budget forecasting, and continuous improvement, while developing automations and optimizations that enhance adoption, efficiency, and user satisfaction.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is recognized for their ability to analyze cloud data and their strong mastery of FinOps practices, particularly in cost visibility, allocation, and continuous optimization.
  • Stands out for their ability to simplify complex topics and to support and influence multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrates strong expertise in cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS - Azure, AWS), infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Is recognized for their collaborative mindset, DevOps approach, and strong command of Agile methodologies (SAFe, SDLC), as well as their understanding of infrastructure challenges (network, databases, security).
  • Has more than 5 years of experience in information technology, including a minimum of 2 years in designing cloud solutions, along with a DEC or a bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, information systems, computer or software engineering, mathematics, or any other relevant field of a similar level.
  • Has a beginner level of English proficiency, as the role involves reading and writing documentation and emails, as well as communicating by phone with internal partners and collaborators across Canada on a monthly basis.
  • Has an advanced level of French proficiency, both spoken and written.
