This type of testing involves checking the integration, performance, security, and functionality of Oracle applications through various testing methods like functional, regression, and user acceptance testing. It often requires specialized knowledge of Oracle modules, workflows, and customizations to ensure seamless business operations after updates or custom development.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Oracle Apps tester?

To excel as an Oracle Apps Tester, you need expertise in software testing methodologies, a solid understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite modules, and familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Proficiency with test automation tools like Selenium, HP ALM, and Oracle Application Testing Suite, as well as experience with defect tracking systems, is typically required. Analytical thinking, strong problem-solving abilities, and clear communication skills help testers identify issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams. These qualifications are crucial for ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of complex Oracle applications in business environments.

Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco or Sunnyvale.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

We are seeking a Staff, Finance AI & Automation Solutions to design, build, and scale AI-enabled workflows and internal applications that change how Finance operates. This role is AI-first and build-heavy: you will ship production workflows that combine approved AI services with low-code platforms (Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate), integrate with enterprise systems including Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, GetPaid, and Allocadia, and apply automation patterns to eliminate manual work.

You will partner closely with stakeholders across Finance  -  Strategic Finance, FP&A, Controllership, Procurement, Marketing Finance, and Collections  -  to identify pain points, translate them into product requirements, and ship iterative solutions with strong reliability, governance, and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

AI-Enabled Workflow Design

  • Lead with AI: design and ship Finance workflows that use approved AI services for classification, summarization, anomaly detection, narrative generation, assisted triage, and knowledge search.
  • Partner with security, privacy, and platform teams to apply guardrails, prompt patterns, evaluation harnesses, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Define success metrics (cycle time, accuracy, deflection rate) and instrument solutions so AI value is measurable.

Low-Code / No-Code Application Development

  • Build and deploy production applications using Microsoft Power Apps (canvas / model-driven) and Power Automate, with user-friendly interfaces and role-based experiences.
  • Deliver rapid iterations with engineering discipline: versioning, environments, release practices, and quality checks.
  • Create reusable components, templates, and patterns to accelerate delivery across multiple Finance use cases.

Workflow Automation & Process Orchestration

  • Automate end-to-end Finance processes: request intake, approvals, task routing, exception handling, audit trail, and notifications.
  • Target touchless and low-touch outcomes (e.g., PO lifecycle, expense workflows, close tasks, marketing allocation).
  • Optimize for scalability, reliability, and maintainability  -  reducing manual steps, cycle times, and operational toil.

Integrations & Data Connectivity

  • Build and maintain integrations between low-code apps and enterprise systems (Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle EPM, GetPaid, Allocadia, and adjacent platforms).
  • Implement data validations, lightweight transformations, and robust error handling for accuracy and operational resilience.
  • Partner with IT and Data teams on integration standards, authentication, and governance.

Quality, Operations, and Support

  • Own testing and debugging: functional validation, performance checks, regression testing, and production issue triage.
  • Monitor application performance and usage; improve speed, stability, and user experience.
  • Provide tier-2 support, runbooks, and documentation to ensure smooth adoption.

Product Mindset & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Run discovery with Finance stakeholders, translate needs into clear user stories, and manage a prioritized backlog.
  • Communicate progress, trade-offs, and decisions; demo iteratively and adapt based on outcomes.

Governance, Security, and Documentation

  • Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for data protection, access controls, auditability, change management, and AI responsible-use policies.
  • Produce clear technical documentation (solution design, integrations, configuration) and user guides.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience building, delivering, or scaling applications, automation solutions, or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience building production solutions with Microsoft Power Apps or another low-code/no-code platform.
  • Experience applying AI in production workflows, including prompt engineering, evaluation, and responsible-use practices for enterprise AI services.
  • Experience translating business requirements into working applications and workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of software delivery fundamentals, including SDLC, environments, testing, and releases.
  • Experience integrating low-code applications with enterprise platforms such as Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle EPM, GetPaid, or Allocadia (APIs, data connectors, authentication patterns).
  • Experience with AI-enabled automation use cases at scale  -  document intelligence, summarization, anomaly detection, narrative generation, conversational interfaces.
  • Familiarity with evaluation frameworks for AI outputs (accuracy, hallucination, bias, drift) and human-in-the-loop patterns.
  • Familiarity with automation tooling and workflow orchestration (approvals, exception handling, notifications, audit trail).
  • Experience in Agile delivery (sprints, backlog grooming, demos, iterative releases).
  • Experience building solutions for complex, regulated environments with strong controls and governance (SOX, segregation of duties, change management).

Suggested Skills

  • AI Automation
  • Power Platform
  • Systems Integration
  • Workflow Automation
  • Solution Architecture
